USING YOUR MUSIC

The real benefit offered by the comprehensive collection of music in the YBI library is that all copyrights have been taken care of.  However, if you cannot find a music track selection that you want to use in your YBI project from the online library, you add in music from other sources.  There are primarily two options: either record your own music or use prerecorded music from another source.

Recording your own music is not unusual.  Schools often record their own band or choir performing a school song.  If you will be using prerecorded music, please be aware that there are copyright laws controlling both the composition and the recording. You will need to contact both the Harry Fox Agency and the record label to clear the use of prerecorded music.

YBI (or StoryRock Electronic Publishing) will not complete, duplicate or distribute any project submitted that does not have the proper copyrights in place.  An indemnification clause is included on all submission forms associated with YBI products.
